  • Project manager, SciOPS (Scientist Opinion Panel Survey) Project responsibilities: Manage team to develop sample frames, administer surveys, conduct analysis, and disseminate on project website. Training: survey methods and design, Tableau graphic visualization, panel creation

  • Research team member, National study on the US Transit Agency Adaptation to Extreme Weather Events, US Department of Transportation funded grant.

  • Project member of Entrepreneurship in Asia program, year-long course and field experiment about enabling autonomous vehicles in rural Japan.

  • Research Fellows member on team analyzing the market potential and business opportunities and challenges of two student technological innovations in three regions (US, EU, and India). Developed market strategies, reported on recommendations and delivered presentations to potential investors.

  • Lead student researcher on a team examining solar power options for rural communities in Nepal. Project output: Eaton, D., Joshi, N. P., & Gibson, D. (2020). Extending Electric Service to Rural Nepal, PRP 212. LBJ School of Public Affairs.

  • Research Fellows member for Innovation Corps, funded by the NSF to assess the outcomes of several programs to commercialize academic research. Analyzed trends in the program and determined which STEM fields produced successful commercialized products, any demographic insights, and specific skills the academic research community can learn from the programs.

  • Consultant for a private company, Glimpse K-12, which provides evidence-based policy recommendations for Alabama school districts. Ran analysis on online teaching methods and how they translated to long-term interest and active learning and wrote a report on the findings and policy implications.

  • International Consortium for Political Science Research (ICPSR). University of Michigan (2022) for certificate credit. Network Analysis | Python programing

  • Atlanta Academy on Science and Innovation Policy. Georgia Institute of Technology (2022) NSF funded, competitive program that brought together international doctoral students for interdisciplinary training and network development.

Research Interests

My research interests are on technology use and equity in the public sector, which includes public-private partnerships, STEM workforce mobility and communication and the inclusion of disadvantage groups. My dissertation interests include university-industry relationships, open science policies and their impacts on knowledge flows and organizational management.
